At Thrive Health, we prioritize personalized, root-cause care tailored entirely to your unique needs, rather than the limitations of insurance guidelines. To deliver this level of dedicated care, we operate as an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. Full payment is required at the time of service.

By choosing a cash-pay model, we step outside the constraints of insurance companies so we can dedicate 100% of our focus to finding real, lasting solutions for your health–transforming your care from a routine expense into a true investment in your long-term vitality.

CHOOSE YOUR PATH

We recognize that not every patient needs the same kind of care. To keep things simple, we offer three clear pathways for services:

  1. Functional Medicine,
  2. Complex Care Follow-up, and
  3. hEDS Evaluation

Appointments can be either virtual or in-person. In-person appointments are located in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Pathway 1 – Functional Medicine Patients

Best for: People who have been told “everything looks fine” but still feel off, and those seeking optimization and longevity—especially around autoimmune risk, gut health, hormones, and energy.

Step 1 – Free, Virtual 10-Minute Discovery Call

Determine fit and choose the right starting point.

  • Brief call to review your main concerns and goals
  • Clarify whether Functional Medicine at Thrive Health is the right match
  • Decide which type of visit or package fits best
Step 2 – Deep-Dive Intake & Advanced Testing

Understand the full picture and identify key drivers.

  • Comprehensive intake that explores your full health story, lifestyle, and subtle symptoms—not just overt disease
  • Review of prior labs and imaging you’ve been told are “fine,” with an eye toward patterns and prevention
  • Advanced testing as appropriate (GI-MAP, DUTCH, specialized bloodwork, and other targeted tests) to evaluate gut integrity, hormone dynamics, inflammation, and metabolic health
Step 3 – Personalized Root-Cause Roadmap

Create a realistic plan for long-term change.

  • Stepwise plan focused on diet, lifestyle, stress and nervous system support, and targeted supplementation or medications
  • Specific strategies to address gut function, immune balance, hormone rhythm, and metabolic resilience
  • Ongoing follow-up to track progress, refine your plan, and support long-term longevity and performance

Pathway 2 – hEDS/MCAS/POTS/ME-CFS Follow-Up Care

Best for: Patients with a confirmed hEDS diagnosis who need ongoing, coordinated care for multi-system conditions such as hEDS, MCAS, POTS/dysautonomia, and ME/CFS.

Step 1 – Records & Symptom Review

Bring the whole picture into one place.

  • Review of your existing hEDS diagnosis and related conditions (MCAS, POTS/dysautonomia, ME/CFS)
  • Collection of key records: imaging, rheumatology/genetics notes, cardiology/autonomic testing, prior labs, PT reports
  • Discussion of your most pressing symptoms—pain, instability, fatigue, exercise intolerance, GI issues, autonomic symptoms, mast cell flares—and your goals for function and quality of life
Step 2 – Collaborative Multi-System Care Plan

Align management across conditions and providers.

  • Integrative plan that addresses how hEDS, MCAS, POTS, and ME/CFS interact (e.g., joint protection, autonomic support, mast cell stabilization, pacing strategies, GI motility, sleep and energy regulation)
  • Guidance on tracking symptom patterns over time, especially for fluctuating presentations and post-exertional crashes
  • Support for building patient-owned medical records and sharing longitudinal data with your broader care team so important clinical insights aren’t missed
Step 3 – Ongoing Support & Fine-Tuning

Adjust as your life and body change.

  • Regular follow-up visits to reassess symptoms across all systems and refine your plan
  • Coordination with physical therapy, cardiology/autonomic specialists, allergy/immunology, and other providers as needed
  • Education and tools to help you navigate hEDS + MCAS + POTS + ME/CFS more confidently, with strategies tailored to your current capacity and long-term goals
New Patient Consultations
  • In-Person Initial Intake (60 min): $327 — Located at our Waltham, MA office

  • Virtual Intake (60 min): $297 — Convenient remote care

Follow-Up Consultations
  • In-Person Follow-Up (30 min): $187 — Located at our Waltham, MA office

  • Virtual Follow-Up (30 min): $137 — Convenient remote care

Pathway 3 – hEDS Evaluation

Best for: Children or adults who suspect hEDS or hypermobility and want a thoughtful, structured assessment.

Step 1 – Screening & History

Clarify whether a full hEDS evaluation is appropriate.

  • Focused intake on joint hypermobility, injury history, family history, and associated symptoms
  • Screening for “red flags” and overlapping conditions that may require other specialist input
  • Discussion of expectations and what an hEDS/HSD diagnosis can and cannot do
Step 2 – Clinical Examination & Criteria Review

Structured hEDS assessment using accepted clinical criteria.

  • Beighton scoring and targeted physical examination for hypermobility
  • Review of systemic features (skin, bruising, dislocations, pain patterns, autonomic and GI symptoms)
  • Consideration of hEDS vs hypermobility spectrum disorder (HSD) and ruling out other explanations as appropriate
Step 3 – Results, Next Steps, and Referrals

Turn clarity into action.

  • Clear explanation of findings, including whether criteria for hEDS or HSD are met
  • Management recommendations regardless of label (pain strategies, PT, lifestyle, and autonomic/mast cell/gut supports)
  • Referral guidance when additional specialist input is indicated (e.g., genetics, cardiology, rheumatology)
New Patient Consultations
  • In-Person Intake (90 min): $600 — In-person appointment strongly preferred at our Waltham, MA office

*Note that new patients require an additional 30 minutes for preparation time and after-visit actions, such as ordering prescriptions, placing lab orders, charting and documentation, referral letters, and coordinating care. This is included in the pricing.
